This class is an offering of the Meisner/Chekhov Integrated Actor Trainjng program (MCIAT), company in residence at The Actor's Place. Taught first folio and Chekhov specialist, Liz Shipman! Open to new and continuing students, Thursdays 6:30-8:30pm ON ZOOM. Classes begin May 14 and run through July 2nd. There are a total of 8 classes in the session. This session focuses on applications of the Chekhov technique for performing Shakespeare. Actors will learn how to analyze the text and how to bring it to life in embodied performance. The Chekhov technique helps actors unite their bodies, minds, and imaginations in order to create fully alive and dynamic performances, no matter the medium. From the first session, students will learn skills they can immediately apply to their acting practice. Learn how to connect to your impulses, awaken your imagination, and create unforgettable and compelling characters! Class fees are split into two payments over the 8 weeks. COURSE FEES: - New students are eligible for 20% off current course fees - Continuing students are eligible for 10% off course fees - Community Members save an additional 2.5% - Exclusive Pro Members save an additional 5% - Monthly payments available - For this class, which is online and shorter than our other technique classes, the fee is $350 for 8 weeks.
