Service Description
As a singer and a dancer or someone who does both at the same time on stage (hello Musical Theatre!), your strength and cardiovascular fitness need to be top notch. Fitness for Singers and Dancers help you build both your strength and cardio fitness in one 45-minute session. This class combines bodyweight strength training with HIIT (high intensity interval training) to improve stamina so that you can perform on stage without struggling to find your breath support. The class starts with dynamic stretching and mobility, moves onto a combination of strength and cardio/plyometric moves, and ends with a short cool-down. This class provides modifications for all exercises so that no matter what your fitness level is, you can participate in this workout that meets you where you are. This class meets on Mondays at 11am at The Actor’s Place. About the Instructor: Natalie McClure is an actor, singer, director, educator and NASM certified personal trainer since 2006. Natalie has been featured as a fitness specialist in Women's Health, Men's Fitness, and Allure magazines, and as a guest co-host on the fitness podcast, The Bodcast. In addition, she is a Behavior Change Specialist, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, holds a MFA in Musical Theatre from San Diego State University and a BFA from Western Michigan University. Natalie is a Health at Every Size (HAES) advocate and believes in honoring both physical and mental health. Natalie doesn’t focus on weight loss for fitness and believes all bodies deserve respect.

If you cannot attend, please cancel at your earliest convenience so someone else may take your place. Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance will not be refunded. Please arrive a little early so that class may begin on time.
