Chekhov ZOOM Workshop: Acting the Space
With Master Teachers Liz Shipman and Lisa Dalton!
Service Description
Chekhov master teachers, Liz Shipman and Lisa Dalton, are offering a special ONLINE workshop! November 7-9, 9-11:30 am PST EACH DAY. Pay one low price for the entire weekend workshop! Description: Discover Space and Focus as rich artistic resources where the actor is at the “center of it all.” Unlock your creativity with intuitive, physical, and deeply experiential exercises to discover how to inhabit a text and charge your activities with newfound purpose and power. Lisa will introduce Michael Chekhov's “5 Focal Points” as found on the Chart of Inspired Acting and Liz will introduce Laban-inspired 5 Levels of Awareness. Apply these practical tools to a one minute text or improvise dialogue with activity to make every gesture, every pause, and every movement resonate with meaning. We will develop “little pieces of art” to share in our works-in-progress on our final day. Instructor Bios: Lisa Dalton Lisa is a Master Certifying Teacher for the world’s longest running Teacher/Director/Actor Chekhov Certification program.
