Graduating soon and hoping to get started acting in "the real world"? Not sure your undergrad program has left you with all the tools you need to compete professionally? Then this class might be for you! Dr. Katie Turner has created this class specifically for college students or recent grads. Integrating improvisational acting, the Meisner technique, and Chekhov technique, this course is designed to arm you with tools you can apply immediately to auditions and character work and to help you consistently and safely access full expression of strong emotions. Students will also develop 4 monologues for auditions throughout the course. Don't wait till you graduate--take this course NOW and hit the ground running! NOTE: This class is priced to be accessible to current college students or those who finished their degree no more than 1 year prior to taking this course. Proof of current enrollment or graduation date will be required at the first class meeting. Course Schedule: This course will run for 14 weeks, similar to a semester. Classes begin Sunday February 1st and run through Sunday May 10th. We will meet on Sundays 11am-2pm EXCEPT for the last Sunday of every month. On Sundays when we do not meet, students are expected to memorize their next monologue. Going to miss a few classes? That's ok! Occasional absences (up to 3) can be excused. There will, however, be no formal makeup classes. Students can opt to pay for a reduced price private coaching session to make up the work.
